Woodswoman
2010, 10 minutes 30 seconds, SD video

synopsis:
A video installation about a woman who fought for the environment, about the people who opposed her and burned down her place, and, ultimately about dementia–hers, the filmmaker’s and the greater dementia of a world that could not accept her. We are invited to sit before a wood stove and settle into a story that reveals itself slowly.  Imagine that one is having a fireside conversation with oneself, contemplating the sins of both book burning and poor writing; what happens to us as individuals when we lose the thread of our own storyline? How human it is indeed to discuss such things in the dark, by firelight.
